Our Mission

The major function of Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is to publicize the POW-MIA issue: To educate the public that many American Prisoners of War were left behind after all previous wars and to help correct the past and to protect future Veterans from being left behind should they become Prisoners of War-Missing In Action. We are also committed to helping American Veterans from all wars.

Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is a non-profit organization and everyone donates his or her time because they believe in the POW/MIA Issue.

From the President:

With a new year here, we have a full schedule of events, with a few BIG ones. As I said in a previous newsletter, Claremont’s Monadnock Park will be hosting “The Wall That Heals”

June 25th—June 29th. A 3/4 scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in DC. We will have the Honor on June 24th of escorting the truck that will be carrying the wall from Andover, NH to Wilmot, right on Main Street in New London, Rte 114, through New London, Sunapee, Newport into Claremont. It will be a parade, hoping for around 100 motorcycles, cars and anyone who would like to join. Spread the word!

The Flag we are donating to The Veterans Park in Claremont will installed closer to fall with all the work they are doing there for the pickle ball and tennis courts.

Our Freedom Night Dinner is April 26th this year at the American Legion Post 29 on Broad Street in Claremont, NH. The cover is $15.00 per person. This is our second biggest fundraiser each year to help our Veterans. All are invited to take part. We will have good food, a door prize, 50/50 , raffle items, music and our Quartermaster will be there with all the Rolling Thunder®, Inc. merchandise. Look for the poster in this newsletter along with the events we have planned for the next 3 months. Come and have fun and you will be helping us help our Veterans.

We will also be donating and installing a POW/MIA Chair OF

Honor in the new Newport LaValley’s Family Community Center.

Remember, Always thank a Veteran!
